If You’re New or Not Sure What You Believe

Many people who visit Covenant are exploring Christianity or rebuilding their faith after years away. You do not need to know anything, do anything, or believe anything before visiting. Come, observe, ask questions when you’re ready. In fact, most of our members today grew up in other traditions or as non-Christians.

We’re glad you’re here. Come join us for a few Sundays and see what we're about.

Our Sunday Schedule

Sunday Morning Worship – 9:30am
Classes - 11:15am
Sunday Evening Worship – 5:00pm

On the last Sunday of the month, we have a all-church family meal instead of classes and no evening worship.

📍 Location: We worship at Desert Valley SDA, located in midtown Tucson at 1200 N. Santa Rosa Ave. We're one block north of Speedway and one block west of Rosemont, about a 10-minute drive from the University of Arizona.

On-site parking is easy. Look for signs and our greeters will help you find your way.

What to Expect

How long is the service? About 75 minutes.

What’s the worship like? Reverent, historic Christian worship centered on God. We sing psalms and hymns, pray, read Scripture, and hear clear, biblical, Christ-centered preaching.

What should I wear? Most people tend to dress up a bit, usually in dress-casual or semi-formal clothes.

What about my kids? Bring your kids to worship. We also provide trained nursery care during Morning Worship for kids 0-3 yrs old.

Will I be singled out? No. You can participate as little or as much as you want. You’re free simply to come, observe, and consider.

What Makes Covenant Unique

At Covenant, you’ll find:

  • Historic, reverent worship that is God-centered, not a performance
  • Biblical preaching that has depth, clarity, and real-life application
  • Authentic community where people know and care for one another
  • Real shepherding, not performance or hype
  • A place to grow steady, rooted, and free

The best way to get to know us is to join us for few Sundays in a row. Come experience reverent worship, expository preaching, and real community for yourself.

Other Common Questions

Will I be pressured to join? Never. We’re glad you’re here at whatever pace you come.

Do you take communion every week? Yes. We alternate between morning and evening service.

Should I take communion? Communion is for those who have professed their faith and are a baptized member of a Christian church that professes the gospel. You do not need to be a communicant member of Covenant. If you're not sure if that describes you, email us ahead of time or talk to a pastor or elder after the service. If you are not taking communion we invite you stay, observe, and reflect during that time.

Do you have Sunday School? We have classes for kids and adults, along with a fun, shaded play area for young kids and their parents to hang out. Classes are at 11:15am every week except the last Sunday of the month.

  • Grades 5–7: Genesis
  • Grades 8–12: Intertestamental History
  • Grades 8–12: Gospel of John
  • Adults: Westminster Confession of Faith

What is the Fellowship Meal? On the last Sunday of every month, instead of classes, we share a meal together at the church. All are welcome.
