When We Worship

We worship every Sunday morning from 9:30am-11:00am and, except for the last Sunday of the month, Sunday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. You can attend either service, but since they are distinct and many people in the church love attending both.

Where We Worship

While we save for our own building, we worship at Desert Valley SDA, 1200 N. Santa Rosa Ave, in midtown Tucson. We are one block north of Speedway and one block west of Rosemont, close to the University of Arizona.

How We Worship

In our services, we worship God and enjoy the beginnings of our heavenly rest in Him. Because our worship is for Him, our worship is marked by reverence and awe, order and beauty, faith and joy. It is based completely on the Bible and God’s promise of grace in Christ.

We sing psalms and hymns from the Trinity Psalter Hymnal, and Pastor Chelpka preaches expositional sermons from the Bible.

Kids in Worship?

Yes! We love having our children with us in worship and encourage you to bring yours. For crying or unruly kids—we all have those days—there is a nursery where you can bring your children, sit comfortably, and listen to the service.

After We Worship

After morning worship, we invite you to stay for coffee and snacks followed by classes from 11:30am to 12:00pm.

• Our class for adults and older children (ages 11+) covers a variety of topics to help you grow as a Christian. These include things like proofs for the resurrection of Christ, studies of Bible books, helps for prayer, evangelism, and more.

• We also offer a class for children (ages 4-10) where they learn the basics of the faith through singing, scripture memory, and the Shorter Catechism.
